I think its fair to say that Jack Jones probably wont be on the 53 man roster come September. If you haven't heard, Jack Jones was arrested last Friday at Logan Airport in Boston after security found two loaded guns plus magazines in his carry on.  Not ideal. Jones was having a good start to OTAs too. The future seemed bright with Jones and Gonzalez as CB1 and CB2. Now we don't know for certain if Jones will be cut or not. He is set to return to court on August 18th so I would assume the Patriots will keep him on the roster until they get an official ruling. IF he is cut however, the sky is not falling on this secondary, it is still a very good secondary.

Lets start with the rookie Christian Gonzalez. There is A LOT of hype around this kid and there should be. He looked VERY good in OTAs. He is looking like he can become a generational talent. I would give my prediction that he will start as the CB2 but will progress into being the lead corner back come midseason.

Who I think will start the year as CB1 is going to be Jonathan Jones. A lot of people might hate this but I really don't. Sure, he might be small for a lead corner but he is a great defender. He struggled a little bit last year but he wasn't used to being the lead corner. He is one of the best slot corners in the NFL. If he needs help, look for Mills or Peppers to be over the top to help him. 

I think Marcus Jones will play a huge role in this defense too. Look for him to take Jonathan Jones spot in the slot. Look out for Shaun Wade too, he is my sleeper for this defense!

Training camp is a month away and the season is almost here!
