Its here, its finally here!! DRAFT NIGHT

"Its the most wonderful time of the year." Today is draft day. I am going to go over what the Patriots should and shouldn't do with the 14th overall pick in tonight's draft.

Ill start with what they shouldn't do. They SHOULD NOT trade back. There is no need for that in this years draft class. There are a ton of holes that this team needs to fill on offense, defense, and on special teams. They need to stay at 14 and make the correct choice.

They SHOULD NOT draft a QB. Ill say it once, and ill say it again MAC JONES IS THE PATRIOTS STARTING QUARTERBACK and it needs to stay that way. All the reports/rumors about the Patriots drafting Will Levis make zero sense. All this Mac hate still has me fried up. Let Mac and O'Brien do their thing and lets see what happens.

Now lets look on some things the Patriots SHOULD do with the 14TH overall pick.

Drafting a Offensive Tackle. Mac got sacked 34 times last year. They need to protect Mac and give him enough time so the play can develop and let Mac threw the ball downfield.

Speaking of letting Mac throw the ball downfield the Patriots should also draft a Wide Receiver. That is to me one of the biggest needs this team has. Between Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Quentin Johnston, or Zay Flowers, one of the top 3 receivers should be there at 14. I would be SHOCKED if all three got taken within the first 14 picks.

Next is Cornerback. The Patriots right now don't really have a true CB1. They resigned Jalen Mills but are more likely going to put him in as a McCourty replacement at safety. Jonathan Jones is to small to be a top CB and Jack Jones is still VERY young. A true CB1 would help this defense out tremendously.

Now I say all of this but in reailty, we have NO IDEA what the Patriots are going to do tonight. Every year I get so excited for the NFL draft to only be let down! Will the Patriots make my Thursday night a bad night or a good night? Lets hope for a good night!

Go Pats!
