Reports blowing up New England Patriot fan phones, Mac Jones being shopped? Let’s take a look at this situation.

Reports from Mike Florio have stated that Coach Belichick has been looking for teams to ship Mac Jones off to after on going reports that he was unhappy with Mac’s handling of the offensive situation last season. This has us all wondering, is this the end of the road for Mac at One Patriots Place? The next question to be asking is what is a realistic expectation in trade compensation for the embattled QB. What should teams give up for Jones? Personally I say a 5th-6th. Mac Jones has been up and down—shows bright moments then has those horrendous moments (look no further than the Patriots Ravens game last season). Florio reports that the teams to watch are the Texans, Raiders, and Commanders. Each has questions under center and could be looking to grab a low risk high reward option. All of this reported tension between Coach Belichick and the Quarterback may be a moot point though if Mr. Kraft has any say. Patriots Owner Robert Kraft loves the kid and has shown support many times in the media stating so. Which begs the question, what if the rift is true but Mac is stuck in New England? It all seems to possibly be leading up to another QB controversy yet again (Bailey Zappe ring a bell?). Regardless of who is mad at who and who did who wrong, Jones cannot go around talking to former coaches about his situation like he did in 2022. If he does, it could be the end of the 2-year relationship.

Do the Patriots fix the problems between Jones or do they move forward with Bailey Zappe?
